Lilacs and Gifts

LILACS

Spring has finally arrived! I know we equate the signs of Spring with the first Crocus that peeks it head through the snow; Forsythia’s Blooming; the beautiful colors of Tulips; and Lilac Bushes.

Although I love to see the early signs of Spring, it is the scent of these flowers floating through the air, that awakens the early warmth of Spring

Along the Hudson/Croton on Hudson Falls

It has been a while since I added a post for my "Along the Hudson Series".

One of the most beautiful and historic sites in Westchester County, NY (Lower Hudson Valley). The Croton on Hudson Falls are located in Croton Gorge Park. It was built as part of the Croton Dam. The original Dam was built in 1842, and was rebuilt in 1906 as one of the largest dams in the World.

The view is totally mesmerizing - the picture doesn't do it justice!
